Hours
The kennel is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. We are also open for one hour on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Your pet may be picked up or dropped off any time during our open hours.
You will be charged for the day the pet is checked in regardless of the time. Check out time is 9:00 am to 11:00 am. You will only be charged for the day you pick up your pet if it is after check-out time. There is always a full day charge for Sundays.

Home Away From Home
I started staying at Southboro Kennels when I was six months old, and I just had my thirteenth birthday! They take care of me really well, and play with me during my TLCs.
When I sense that we are on Oregon Rd., I get excited and sit up and stick my head out the car window, just waiting to come around the corner and see the farmhouse and runs.
I have always thought of it as "Puppy Camp," and now I think of it as "Home away from Home."

The Best Around
We have used several kennels in the area, from corporate (Best Friends) to smaller local places and were never completely satisfied. We heard about Southboro from our Vet (Always A Good Feeling) and have always had excellent experiences - the facilities are nice and clean and the owners and employees genuinely care about the animals.

What You Should Know When Boarding Your Pet at Southboro Kennels
- All dogs should be leashed and all cats should be in carriers when entering the kennel.
- All pets must be up to date on their vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations must be presented before or at time of boarding.
- No collars are allowed in the kennel. (They can be dangerous).
- The kennel will not be responsible for any toys or bedding left with your pet. Bedding may be disposed of if soiled. Toys often get buried or misplaced. Please limit the number or toys to two or three.
- Cloth bedding will not be accepted during the summer months. A nylon crate mat is ideal for anytime of year.
- Any food brought in by the pet owner must be in a water-tight container (such as Tupperware) and must be well marked with the animals name and feeding instructions.
- Owners should always make kennels personnel aware of the behavioral habits of your dog such as climbing, digging, destructive behavior or aggression.
- Our hours are 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5-6 p.m. on Sunday. We would like to have all animals checked in or out by 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. We would like two weeks notice during the summer months. Last minute cancellations or “No-Shows” may result in the owner being charged for scheduled boarding.
- Customers will be charged for each day or part of day that a pet is boarded. This includes the day your pet arrives as well as the day it was picked up UNLESS the pet is picked up between 9-11 a.m.
- Payment is due when animals are picked up. Personal checks and cash are accepted. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS.
- It is best to schedule boarding dates well in advance. We tend to fill up quickly during the summer months, holidays and school vacations.
